Mobodexter, an Edge AI Company, derives its name from two words – “Mobile” and “Experts” – reflecting its early focus on building advanced mobile applications when the company was founded in 2013. As connected devices multiplied and enterprises started exploring the Internet of Things, Mobodexter pivoted to develop a comprehensive edge software platform that could support both IoT and AI workloads.​

In the company’s early years, the team launched the PAASMER platform, an IoT solution built to give enterprises end-to-end capabilities from device connectivity and data collection to analytics and cloud integration. This foundation in IoT and secure, scalable device management set the stage for Mobodexter’s evolution into a broader edge AI company that could handle not only telemetry and control, but also real-time machine learning and deep learning at the edge.​

Recognition followed. Mobodexter received the “IoT Innovator” award in 2018 for its work in building edge software platforms for IoT and AI applications, validating its approach of combining software, hardware partnerships, and security-first design. The company continued to invest in product development and partnerships, co-launching the SmartEdge all-in-one Edge AI appliance with Lenovo to give enterprises a turnkey way to accelerate AI deployment on the Lenovo ThinkSystem SE350 platform.​

As edge computing matured, Mobodexter – Edge AI Company extended its capabilities into generative AI and generalist AI models, integrating support for models such as GPT-J and Perceiver-based architectures and making them run efficiently on edge hardware. Today, Mobodexter combines a decade of experience in IoT, AI, and systems engineering to help organizations move from proofs of concept to scaled, revenue-generating edge AI products
